Defective Product Claim
As consumers we expect all the products we buy to be safe and in good condition but this isn't always true. From cars to cleaning materials, faulty products can cause injury if they're not in good condition and, if you suffer an accident because of a faulty product, you may be eligible for compensation. Injuries you could suffer with from a faulty product include:
- Burns caused by electrical equipment catching fire
- Scarring caused by contaminated cosmetics
- Broken limbs after falling off a defective ladder
- Poisoning caused by contaminated food bought in a shop.
You can also make a claim if you are injured by a service provider, such as a hairdresser or beautician. There are a number of reasons that products can be faulty, such as:

- Poor product design
- Failure to display sufficient warnings
- A manufacturer failing to recall products that are known to be faulty.
